Kingfisher Bay Resort has implemented a conservation scheme aimed at rewarding customers for helping the resort reduce its carbon footprint.
With the rising popularity of responsible tourism and with most hotel chains giving customers the option to reuse towels and postpone daily servicing, we decided to take it one step further.
Under the Conservation Credit scheme – guests who choose not to have their room serviced, will be rewarded with a $10 conservation credit (per room per night) to put towards a treatment at our Kingfisher Natural Therapy salon, or a full-day guided eco tour of Fraser Island or any other activity that you charge to your room.
Guests can opt in to the program by placing a card into their outside door lock each night. Points are then redeemed off the cost of touring, salon treatments or activity charges on checkout.
This scheme perfectly complements our existing activities and ties in with Kingfisher Bay Resort's environmental ethos. We are about rewarding our loyal customers for doing their bit to help reduce our carbon footprint
As we have housekeeping standards to maintain, we’ve limited the offer to three consecutive days. It’s just another small, but significant, way our eco-conscious house guests can help us protect Fraser’s fragile environment.
