Kingfisher Bay Resort - Fraser Island Accommodation

Maheno Restaurant

On Fraser Island, early risers can sleep in, walk with the birds or wake with a morning coffee in Maheno. A selection of hearty and healthy breakfast options provide the energy needed for the day’s exploring.

As lunchtime rolls round, the sun-dappled waters of the resort pool and surrounding wallum scrub set the scene for a leisurely afternoon on the deck of the Maheno Restaurant with the family.

The restaurant’s casual atmosphere also allows one to grab an island cocktail from the Lounge or Pool Bars and watch the live entertainment, before dinning deck-side or inside. Guests can relax with a coldie or a glass of red over dinner and take time, between visits to the buffet, to soak up the sounds of Fraser Island.

Dinner in Maheno is a local affair with locally-sourced and home-grown produce very much the order of the day. On Friday and Saturday nights Maheno offers a buffet of hot and cold seasonal dishes, fresh local seafood, vegetarian options for non-seafood lovers and the requisite smorgasbord of cheese and delectable desserts.

* Restaurant Opening Times (Lunch, Dinner): Seasonal.
