Q: Is the resort wheelchair accessible?
A: Yes, resort hotel rooms, our resort facilities, and the ferry service from River Heads are wheelchair accessible. To ensure your experience on K'gari is the best it can be, we highly recommend speaking to our Reservations Team on 1800 372 737 prior to booking.

Q: What is there to do at the resort?
A: There are many offerings at the resort including self-guided walking trails, four lagoon-style swimming pools, tennis courts, ranger-guided activities, Junior Eco Rangers Program for kids, Island Day Spa, Peter Meyer Photography Gallery, K’gari Discovery Centre, Restaurants, Bars, tours, cruises and more.

Q: How often does Junior Eco Rangers Program Run?
A: Led by a friendly Kingfisher Bay Resort Ranger, our Junior Eco Rangers Program is suitable for children aged 5-12 and runs every Saturday, with increased schedules across school holiday periods.
Q: Where can I swim at the resort?
A: Kingfisher Bay Resort offers four lagoon-style swimming pools for guests. Also, as the resort is situated on the calm western side of the island, swimming is permitted in the bay at the front of the resort. Swimming is not recommended on the eastern side of the island along 75 Mile Beach.
Q: Are the pools heated?
A: Our pools are not heated, however do receive warmth from the sun.
Q: Does the resort provide pool towels?
A: Yes, pool towels can be collected from Reception.
Q: Does the resort have a gym?
A: No, the resort does not have a gym, however, there are wonderful self-guided walking trails and sports equipment for hire to keep you active.
Q: Does the resort have Wi-Fi?
A: Yes. Simply connect to the Wi-Fi Network – Guest Net and follow the prompts to the “try it for free” option. This service is available in hotel rooms and throughout the centre complex. Please note there is no Wi-Fi in villas or houses.
Q: Are guests permitted to smoke on the premises?
A: Smoking is not permitted inside accommodation or on your balcony. Should you wish to smoke, please see a member of staff to be pointed in the direction of the closest smoking area and please dispose of your cigarette butts thoughtfully. Please note that a fee will apply should you smoke in your room.
Q: Does the resort offer laundry services?
A: Yes, we have two self-service laundry rooms available for guests during their stay. Washing machines are free to use. In A Wing, dryers cost $5 per cycle with a tap-and-pay option, while in B Wing, dryers cost $3 per cycle using $1 coins.
Q: Do you accept Accor cards? Can I use my Accor card at your restaurants?
A: Yes, Accor cards are accepted at Kingfisher Bay Resort. Members can earn points on eligible hotel stays booked directly with us or via the Accor website or app (please note that third-party bookings are not eligible for points).
All of our dining venues participate in the Accor Plus Dining Benefits program, offering up to 50% off your meal when you present your card upon seating. Please note:

Q: Do you offer fishing charters at the resort?
A: No, we do not offer fishing charters directly from the resort.
Q: Do you offer jet ski tours at the resort?
A: No, jet ski tours are not available at the resort.
Q: Can I visit the resort as a day guest?
A: Yes, we offer a Day Away package at select times of the year — a perfect way to experience the resort without an overnight stay. While some areas are reserved exclusively for in-house guests, this package includes access to our day guest pool and restaurant area, as well as participation in a ranger-guided activity.
There are also plenty of wonderful self-guided walks around the resort to further elevate your experience and make the most of your day.

Q: How can I make a dinner reservation?
A: Dinner reservations can be made online for our Dune and Sand & Wood restaurants, or by calling our Reservations Team on 1800 372 737. If you are already at the resort, our Front Office team will also be happy to assist you with your booking.
Please note that reservations are not required for The Sand Bar.
