12 August 2014: St Thomas More College Hit All The Right Notes At Kingfisher Bay

Sand and song are the perfect combination for this Eisteddfod dressh rehearsal Sand and song are the perfect combination for this Eisteddfod dressh rehearsal

This is an educational field trip with a difference!  Seventy-six talented songsters and musicians from Brisbane-based St Thomas More College will be taking full advantage of the Centre Complex's acoustics this winter, with a stunning vocal and instrumental performance for resort guests in the lead up to the Maryborough Eisteddfod.

Guests can expect a rendition of Stand By Me by the Polynesian Choir; Cindy Lauper's True Colours by the Showchoir, Killing Me Softly on the Fretz Guitars; Scarborough Fair on the Amore Guitars; MaNaMaNa by the Concert Band; William Tell Overture by the String Ensemble and much much more.

According to  Eisteddfod speech adjudicator, Rosyln McIvor, performing in front of an audience is invaluable for young people... and the Sunnybank students' one night only at Kingfisher Bay... as a prelude to their all-important performance at the long-running Maryborough Eisteddfod... will be an event not to be missed if you're in-house.  The students will also perform at other Catholic schools on the Fraser Coast and at the Qld Catholic Schools Music Festival on August 14.
