Kingfisher Bay Resort - Fraser Island Accommodation

Outdoor Activities

Fraser Island's temperate weather provides perfect conditions for spending time in the great outdoors. Whilst beachcombing, self-guided walks, lazy canoe paddles and poolside lazing are givens on a seaside holiday, Kingfisher Bay Resort also offers additional activities for the more active amongst us.

Beach cricket is a favourite Aussie pastime, so ask our Jetty Hut team if you can borrow our wickets and set up a game.  We've also got volleyballs and soccer balls for those that want to take advantage of the extra beach space at low tide.  During school holiday periods and special holidays like Australia Day we often run group matches, which are always lots of fun, so check the What's On guide for details.

Or, if the mood takes you, grab a racquet and head to the tennis court for a leisurely hit.  Our reception team have racquets behind the counter and can book a court space for you.

For the fitness fans and hobbyists amongst you, keep an eye on our 'Events' pages as we also have guest speakers who lead island walks, photographic workshops and yoga retreats throughout the year.

And, if the weather does turn and you're not out taking full advantage of it in our sub-tropical rainforests, why not ask at reception for our collection of board games - there'll definitely be something there to keep the family amused.
