MEDIA VISITING THE GREAT SANDY NATIONAL PARK (FRASER ISLAND) REQUIRE PERMITS
It is your responsibility to ensure you have the right permits. Penalties apply for entering the national park without the correct documentation.
FILMING / PHOTOGRAPHY
Permission to film in The Great Sandy National Park on Fraser Island must be obtained from the Department of Environment & Resource Management (DERM) prior to your arrival. Permits can take up to 40 business days to process and some fees may apply. Download Permit To Conduct Commercial Activity(ies).

VEHICLES
Vehicle access permits are required for all vehicles entering the island. Monthly or Annual permits may be obtained from Kingfisher Bay Resort reception on arrival or at the River Heads Vehicle Barge terminal prior to your departure from the mainland.
