Hosted by Amanda Keller, The Living Room is a national lifestyle show that brings wild and wonderful travel destinations to the small screen each Friday night - and Fraser Island is set to join the ranks, when the episode screens in early July. The show also blends studio banter with video segments - including their infamous ‘Hot or Not' segment which gives the thumbs up or down to crazy inventions and products.
As part of the original cast line-up, since the show debuted in May last year, Chris Brown has been carving out a name for himself as a roving travel reporter who is not afraid to climb extra tall coconut trees; spend a night in haunted caves; leap down large dam walls in a single bound; and stare into the face of erupting volcanoes. His visit to Fraser will see him testing the mettle of his four-wheel-drive and his camera in World Heritage wilderness.
Kingfisher Bay Resort’s resident photographer-cum-tour-guide Peter Meyer will escort Chris and his crew during their island visit and promises to showcase some of the best sand scapes Fraser has to offer.
“75-Mile Beach is always a must see, but during their three-day visit, the crew will also be stopping off at Lake Wabby, Pile Valley and we’ll also take in some of the island’s spectacular inland sub-tropical rainforests,” he said.
“And, you can’t forgo taking in a sunset at Kingfisher Bay Resort’s jetty overlooking the Great Sandy Strait – so we’re hoping to put on quite a show.”
And the verdict?
Well, we’ll have to tune in to Channel Ten on Fridays at 7.30pm (Qld time) in July to see whether Fraser Island is ‘hot or not’, but we’re confident the world’s largest sand island will make the cut.
