Executive Coach and Program Facilitator Leigh Bennett, from Hervey Bay-based Enterprise Innovations, has teamed with Kingfisher Bay Resort to develop and deliver performance-based coaching and business training – aptly called Fraser Pathways - on World Heritage-listed Fraser Island.
According to Mr Bennett, Kingfisher Bay Resort has been actively involved in the meetings industry for 20 years and - with their newly refurbished meetings facilities, digital AV equipment and close proximity to mainland - it was a no brainer when it came to partnering with them.
“We see this collaboration as a natural extension of the services we have both been offering corporate, government and not-for-profit clients for years,” he said. “Questions like: How do I get my staff to embrace change?; How do I move them to the most productive work mode?; How do I learn to lead?; and How can I break through the ‘Being the Boss’ barrier? will be answered through a series of intensive Fraser Pathways modules,” Mr Bennett said.
“Essentially Fraser Pathways a value add for Kingfisher’ conferencing clients and all courses can be tailored to each client’s needs with the shorter courses structured to allow participants to undertake one workshop at a time. We’ll also run public courses where clients can also stay overnight at Kingfisher Bay Resort and complete two courses in a relatively short time and be back in Hervey Bay within 45 minutes.”
Fraser Pathways themes include ‘Strategic Business Planning’; ‘Healthy Wealthy and Financially Wise’ and ‘Influencing Workplace Culture and Shaping the Future,’ which uses fascinating insights into the Australian workplace and engagement to inspire.
Kingfisher Bay Resort Group General Manager, David Hay, said the collaboration with Enterprise Innovations created an excellent opportunity to provide targeted professional development opportunities, for regional business communities, in a manner that hasn’t previously been available without travelling to the bigger centres likes Brisbane and Cairns.
“In the past, I’ve travelled to Brisbane to undertake professional development courses and whilst I found them worthwhile – the travel time, on top of time out of the office, often made attendance prohibitive,” he said. “Fraser Pathways is a very exciting step for our company and, we believe, a valuable business service for regional Queenslanders.”
“Participants can look forward to our famous hospitality, eco-friendly lodgings, our carbon neutral conferencing program and refurbished meetings facilities, in surrounds that have been two million years in the making,” Mr Hay said.
And the good news for small business owners, is that it’s not priced out or reach and nor is it just for big operators. Leigh and his team will also be conducting public workshops and business networking events – across all industries - under the Fraser Pathways banner.
“The opportunity to mix with other professionals, from a range of industries and backgrounds, is an added bonus when it comes to our targeted professional development programs,” Mr Hay said.
And, when the training is done, the Fraser Pathways team will also offer ‘back at work’ coaching.
Fraser Pathways modules are priced from $275pp for one-day and include workshop and materials, coffee & tea and return walk-on ferry transfers from River Heads.
