Humpback whales book their holidays in Hervey Bay from August to October. During this time thousands of humpbacks spend anywhere from a day or two to two weeks relaxing and nurturing their young in the sheltered waters off Fraser Island.

Queensland’s Fraser Island continues to be a top rater with American tourists. The World Heritage-listed island has been voted onto the list of the top ten best islands in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific by subscribers of America’s Travel + Leisure Magazine.
