Kingfisher Bay Resort - Fraser Island Accommodation

Guided Bird Walks

Wake to birdsong and the energetic antics of Welcome Swallows (check out our gallery below) and, if the mood takes you, why not come bird spotting with our twitcher Ranger on an avian adventure around the resort grounds? (Just make sure you check the What's On Guide for details).

Under the watchful eyes of your Ranger, you’ll spot some of the 354 bird species that frequent the island and hopefully add some new ones to the list.  You can also read about our feathered friends and other Fraser Island locals on our Resort Ranger blog.

Honeyeaters join forces with Eastern Whipbirds, Rainbow Bee-eaters and the brilliant Azure (see gallery below), Forest and Sacred Kingfishers for an early morning chorus in our wallum heath (just a stone's throw from hotel rooms and our main Centre Complex) and you’ll in the box seat.  Check our What's On Guide for details.
