An exciting but challenging position in our Jetty Hut where your key role will be focused on Customer Service by counter service of food and beverage, taking bookings and payment of water sport activities, directing and answering customer enquiries, conducting fishing clinics and guiding water sport activities within a very busy, but friendly and fun team orientated atmosphere.

The position requires you to be able to show initiative, high attention to detail and be able to handle yourself well in high pressure situations while still maintaining high level customer service.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Promptly attending to customers needs and enquiries at the Jetty Hut
• Service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Service of ice creams, chips and snacks
• Endeavouring to answer or direct customer enquiries to the relevant department
• Setup and maintenance of water sport equipment
• Conducting fishing clinics for guests when required
• Conducting guided paddles for guests when required
• Conducting guided walks for guests when required
• Correct utilization of point of sale system
• Ordering and restocking of sale items
• Cross Training in Resort Ranger role as relief staff
• Full training in walks, paddles and clinics provided

• Physically able to manoeuvre and steer canoes and kayaks to conduct guided paddles
• Physically able to shift water sports vessels from storage to water for guests needs
• Genuine interest in fishing and water sport activities
• Boat license highly regarded
• Coxswain certification highly regarded

The applicant is required to be autonomous, highly motivated, enthusiastic and reliable with a very positive "can do" attitude and high work ethics. Enjoy a physical challenge, with the ability to handle pressure and high stress situations and use it to your advantage. Be able to be a Team Player and offer assistance, support, encouragement and respect to your fellow team members, supervisors and Management.

Salary and Conditions:
• $14.27 per hour plus 17 % leave loading, 9% Superannuation, 10 days personal leave and annual leave based on pro rata of hours worked.
• Live Off - Required to commute from Hervey Bay via resort vessels
• Live On position may be offered to the ideal candidate that has prior experience in Guiding or Resort Ranger position. This applicant will be required to work as a Jetty Hut attendant and a Resort Ranger. Resort Staff Village Accommodation (approx. $117 per week deducted from pay)
• 5 days over a 7 day rotating roster
• Staff discount across Hotel operations and FOC Touring depending on availability
