This year, we've partnered with 4WD Qld - a membership organisation which brings together four-wheel-drive clubs from around the state with a focus on driver training, recreational access to land, environmental education and sustainable land management strategies. This Saturday 2 June 2013, more than 400 club members are expected to converge on to Fraser Island to help 'clean up' the mess that other visitors carelessly leave behind in the Great Sandy National Park.
Queensland Parks and Wildlife allocates different zones to each group to ensure some of the most unloved areas are left spic and span.
The team from Fraser Island Barges have offered discounted barge costs across to Fraser Island for the clean up and Eurong Beach Resort staff will be manning the BBQs and the drinks tent after a big day of rubbish collecting.
Here's to a great bunch of people and a cleaner, greener Fraser Island.
