Resort General Manager, Warwick Kahl, said his team recognised that Mums need to be spoiled every now and then, and were pulling out all stops to plan an unforgettable day away on the world's largest sand island.
“Come Sunday, May 12, our team of talented chefs will be shucking oysters, peeling prawns and prepping local scallops for the resort’s inaugural Mother’s Day Seafood lunch,” he said. “We’ll do all the hard work behind the scenes… which means our visiting Mums can put their feet up and just relax and enjoy Mother’s Day with their family.”
Fraser Island Mother’s Day outing begins with a leisurely ferry ride aboard Quick Cat II from Urangan Boat Harbour to Kingfisher Bay at 0930. Guests will then spend a lazy Sunday morning enjoying the World Heritage surrounds – with full use of the resort’s facilities.
Mother’s Day Lunch will be served from noon on the resort’s Maheno Restaurant... with a sparkling cocktail for Mum on arrival and, when the dining's done, you'll return to the rat race on the 1600 Quick Cat service.
