Grooming standards at Kingfisher Bay Resort, Eurong Beach Resort, Fraser Island Barges and Fraser Explorer Tours will be relaxed over the next month... but all in the name of a good cause - raising awareness and much needed funds for men's health!

Eligible male staff members will be growing moustaches and fundraising for MOvember this November - ably supported by their female fundraising counterparts - to raise awareness of prostate cancer and male mental health.

The funds raised in Australia support equally the two biggest health issues men face – prostate cancer and male mental health. The funds raised are directed to programs run directly by Movember and their men’s health partners, the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and beyondblue: the national depression initiative. Together, the three channels work together to ensure that Movember funds are supporting a broad range of innovative, world-class programs in line with the Movember team's strategic goals, in the areas of awareness and education, survivorship and research.

From November 1, the men of Kingfisher - including our Group General Manager, David Hay - will start with a clean shaven face and over the course of the month will groom, trim and wax their moustaches to become walking billboards for men's health. On November 30, it'll be a case of 'hair today, gone tomorrow' as we tally up the fundraising totals and start the big shave.
